The Projectadmin Group

As an administrator you can set up a special group of sub-administrators. projectadmin is a special group name to allow some people to grant certain access privileges to other users. If you designate one user from every lab or group as a sub-administrator, you will not have to keep track of every person in that lab or group. Members of the projectadmin can only grant access to data to which they have access.

Sub-administrators in the projectadmin group can do the following for their users:

• Create and delete users
• Create and delete groups
• Grant a user or group read or write access to any data for which the sub-administrator has the appropriate access
• Add or remove a group's users (only if the sub-administrator has equal read and write access to everything to which that group has access)
• Move, rename or delete any data to which the sub-administrator has write access. Folders can also be added.
