RemoteServers are used in conjunction with GeNet to allow users to offload computationally intensive tasks. Instead of running these tasks on GeneSpring client desktops, jobs are sent to remote servers and the results can be interpreted in GeneSpring, published to GeNet, or both. GeNet acts as a dispatcher, farming out jobs to available remote servers. Once a job has been sent, it can be managed from either GeneSpring or Genet.
